BridgeAble Solutions was founded by Bobby Harris — a Deaf entrepreneur who has spent his life identifying communication barriers and finding practical ways to close them, in public safety, in the workplace, and in daily life.

OUR FOUNDER'S STORY

Communication Barriers Have Shaped Nearly Every Chapter of Bobby Harris's Life.

"I've spent my life on the other side of the communication gap - as the person misunderstood, the one teaching the room, and the one leading the team. That's why I don't build training around awareness alone. I build it around what actually works, because I've tested it myself."

At seventeen, Bobby became the first Deaf student intern at the Frederick Police Department, where he helped design a communication tool for first responders that later became a statewide resource. That experience taught him something that's guided him ever since: most communication barriers aren't solved by awareness alone, they're solved by people willing to understand the real problem and build something practical.

He carried that approach into a career spanning the interpreting field — from scheduler to Director of Operations to CEO — and years of community advocacy, including organizing a town hall that brought the Deaf community together with public safety leadership at both the local and state levels. All of it, the internship, the career, the advocacy, the passion that’s driven him since he was a teenager is what led Bobby to create BridgeAble Solutions: a way to continue his life’s work of bridging the gap, for any organization or community that needs it.
